Modern Developments in Thermodynamics: An Interdisciplinary Collective Treatise

Thermodynamic questions which relate to the problem of irreversibility (the arrow of time and the second law of thermodynamics) are theoretically researched. Some of the topics investigated are: on world expansion and the time arrow; the role of the second law of thermodynamics in classical continuum physics; heat flow in rotating relativistic perfect fluids and global thermodynamic parameters; ergodicity, monotonicity and unattainability in correlation of entropy and energy; and is the coarse-grained entropy of classical statistical mechanics an anthropomorphism.
