This interdisciplinary volume brings together perspectives on the subjects of existence, age(ing), dying, and death in times of digitalization and technological advances. Its contributions discuss sociopolitical and (medical-) ethical topics; the potentials of self-determined, optimized existence; and the utopias of a post- and transhumanist society, in which the boundaries of being human are becoming fluid.
