They deal with the processes of cross-frontier cultural and scientific transfer from the 18th to the 20th century (with special emphasis on the 19th century). The scope of the treatment ranges from individual cases to broader overviews. The approach is not only international but also interdisciplinary, ranging from literature to historiography and the history of scientific institutions and branches of science.
