Tomaso Albinoni: The Venetian Composer and His World

Tomaso Albinoni (1671-1751) is familiar as a Venetian composer, a contemporary of Vivaldi's, and as one of the first composers of concertos, many of which are frequently performed today. His vocal music, however, has been unjustly neglected. This book presents new information on Albinoni's unusual life and interesting details of the Venetian environment and music at the time.
